Founded in 1986, Rights and Humanity is the pioneer of the Human Rights Approach to Development. Over two decades Rights and Humanity has helped millions of poor and disadvantaged people across the world to realise their human rights and dignity. We bridge the gap between human rights and development by bringing together the UN, governments and aid agencies to ensure access to food, water, healthcare, education and livelihood.

Rights and Humanity identifies pressing global issues, develops multi-stakeholder consensus on solutions, demonstrates models for implementation and produces “how-to” toolkits for the wider replication of the human rights and responsibilities approach.


We build bridges of understanding and cooperation between people of different faiths, cultures and political viewpoints, with a focus on Islamic/Western understanding.


Rights and Humanity is an International Centre of Excellence in research and education in human rights and responsibilities. We provide consultancies, training, and networks for implementation of human rights and responsibilities at every level of society.
